Since its inception, ICIRT has gathered hundreds of researchers, engineers, students, and innovators from across the continent and beyond — fostering scientific dialogue and concrete collaborations on IoT and emerging technologies.
Held at the Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB), ICIRT 2025 brought together researchers and industry leaders to explore the contribution of the Internet of Things to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in West African countries.

The inaugural edition of ICIRT was hosted at the Centre National de Calcul de Côte d'Ivoire (CNCCI) in Abidjan. The conference established the foundations of the West African Consortium of Connected Objects and produced a published proceedings archived on Zenodo.
